The view of Keryas Hotel |
The orientation of the house is precisely aligned with Naqshe-Jahan Square. The alcove space of the house is a large hall in the north and with the architecture office-door, it enjoyed the most sunshine in winter and it was used as a guest house at that time. On two sides of the alcove, there are two three-door rooms, each has an opening toward the alcove; this feature was very common in the Qajari architectural style of Isfahan. The building was not a big one, and it has only one court; in contrast with other Iranian historical houses, this house did not have both an interior and exterior court.

The reason for having just one court was due to the oldness of other surrounding houses and a passageway passing through the north side of the house. Ornaments used in the alcove include Shir and Shekari calligraphy which were common during the Qajar era. European ornaments like fireplace and capitals with leaves and flower decoration were some features of the late Qajar architectural style. The pool house of the building located in the north-west part, and on the first floor it has a small pond and a passageway.

The pool house has not a covered roof. Fountains of the pool shoot water to the sky and stained glass windows bring light to the pool house space, so they create an extraordinary combination of light and water. Interior space and rooms of the house were built on a platform with a height of 60 centimeters. This platform somehow plays the role of the foundation and transfers loads of the building to the ground. The platform also saves the house from penetration of moisture. Currently, this historical house with the license of the tourism reception complex provides services to those interested in cultural heritage.
