1. Well Planning
But due to the lack of tourism infrastructure, set your trip a few months ago. If you intend to stay in particular tourist places. Consider a planning window of at least six months to make sure you find a place for a future trip.

2. Credit Cards
Unfortunately, in Iran, none of the current credit cards are valid. So you should have some cash to take on your trip. But luckily you can change your money easily.

3.Transportation system
Transportation systems in Iran are scheduled daily or eventually weekly, so if you intend to travel with such equipment, do this with your travel agency. Also, your guides can help you during your trip.

4.Be prepared for long journeys
Although you can technically travel inside Iran by plane, the routes are all redirected via Tehran, which means they are not always the most convenient option. Trains are generally unreliable and poorly maintained, making driving your primary means of transportation. With this in mind, you may want to consider more time for your travels. A week is usually enough to visit Tehran and Isfahan, while 11 nights will allow you to incorporate desert, Shiraz, and Persepolis to other destinations.

5. Learn the local etiquette.
There are specific etiquette and dress codes to keep in mind that your guide can inform you. For example, alcohol is strictly forbidden, and women must cover their ankles and wear the headscarf.
